A specialised program designed to equip individuals, coaches and parents with the knowledge and capability to support the health, wellbeing and performance needs of females in sport.

The Advanced Certificate in Female Player Health and Wellbeing imparts practical, evidence-informed knowledge on how to effectively support, develop and empower athletes across stages of their sporting journey.

Offering insights into best practices, contemporary research and real-world challenges that impact the development of athletes.

Participants will deepen their understanding of the knowledge, skills and capabilities required to create safe, supportive and inclusive environments where players can thrive.

The curriculum explores how to design and implement effective wellbeing frameworks tailored to the needs of athletes in women’s pathways and competitions. Through both theory and applied learning, participants will examine how to plan, deliver and evaluate targeted wellbeing initiatives.

The course will cover:

  • The Role of the Wellbeing & Development Lead in Sport: An overview of how wellbeing roles support and influence players across female athlete pathways and competitions.
  • Best Practice in Female Player Health & Wellbeing: A concise look at evidence-based approaches to supporting player health, performance and wellbeing across physical, mental and social domains.
  • Challenges and Emerging Issues in Player Development: A summary of the key issues affecting players in sport, including transition points, confidence, identity and wellbeing pressures.
  • Creating a Player Wellbeing & Development Strategy for Pathways: A practical guide to designing and implementing a female-informed wellbeing and development framework.

NOTE: Our live Zoom workshops are recorded and will be available on the online portal for those unable to attend in real-time. However, we highly recommend joining the live sessions for the best experience.
