Brad Lloyd – AFL Industry Leader & Course Facilitator

Brad Lloyd is a highly respected figure in the AFL industry, with decades of experience spanning playing, recruiting, list management and football operations. His expertise and leadership continue to shape the game at the highest level.

Brad’s AFL journey began as a player with Hawthorn Football Club (1997–1999) before captaining VFL club Williamstown (2002–2006), where he led the team to a premiership in 2003. Transitioning off the field in 2001, he became an AFL player agent, managing contracts and marketing for ESP AFL clients.

In 2008, Brad joined Fremantle Football Club, first as National Recruiting Manager, overseeing National, Preseason and Rookie drafts. Transitioning to General Manager of List Management, responsible for player contracting, retention, recruitment and the club’s national drafting strategies.

Today, Brad is the General Manager of Football at Carlton Football Club, where his strategic vision and extensive industry knowledge continue to shape the future of the game. Since 2018, he has led the club’s AFL and AFLW programs, overseeing key areas including list management, high performance, medical, coaching, operations and player wellbeing. His leadership ensures a strong foundation for sustained success on and off the field.
